Apprentice mason of Zelios
You have met Markus in the early spring of 1198 on the road near the building site in the Tihuta Pass.
He came from Radu’s castle with ten skilled workers and two warriors to aid his Master Zelios in the project of building the tower.
It was soon apparent that Markus, originally from the city of Bonn in the Kingdom of Germany, was of the Western Christian religion. He cheerfully stated that within ten years, these lands would be dotted with Christian churches.
As far as you can tell, Markus is an intelligent, cheerful young man. You have not had the opportunity to really get to know him, for the work at hand and the limited time forced him to work long and tiring days at Zelios’ side, leaving little room for familiarities.
